Based on an alert from the department’s Automatic License Plate Recognition System, an officer stopped a car with stolen license plates attached. The vehicle owner, upon being arrested, lied about her identity. When her true identity was discovered the officer located a Burglary warrant had been issued for her through Ralls County. She was later released to Ralls County.

Based on an alert from the department’s Automatic License Plate Recognition System, an officer stopped a car with a warrant associated to the license plate. The person on the warrant, who was the 33 year old male driver, was arrested. Upon being arrested a small amount of marijuana was found in his pocket and he was additionally charged. He was issued a Richmond Heights Court Summons and released to the agency seeking his arrest.

An officer contacted two suspicious people sitting in a car parked on the side of the road. This contact resulted in the arrest of the 27 year old male driver for Possession of Marijuana. He was later released and the case will be forwarded to the Richmond Heights Prosecutor for review.

The investigation of a suspicious vehicle resulted in the arrest of the 57 year old male driver for having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. The 25 year old female passenger was arrested for possession of marijuana. Both were later released with Richmond Heights Court Summonses.

A 33 year old male was arrested after stealing $165 in merchandise. Upon being arrested he was found to have a “crack pipe” in his pocket and was additionally charged. He was held pending a case review by the Richmond Heights prosecutor.

The victim learned her wallet and keys had been stolen when a Maplewood Police Officer returned the items to her on 3/11/10. The items were found lying in a street gutter and taken to Maplewood City Hall as found property. The victim last saw the wallet and keys the night before lying on a kitchen counter, which is on the north side of the residence. It is believed that suspect(s) entered the residence through an unlocked door leading to the kitchen sometime overnight. Nothing else was stolen. The case was assigned to the detective bureau for investigation.

The victim’s Apple I-Phone was stolen after she left it unattended at a table in the restaurant. When it was discovered missing, the victim immediately called the phone and a male answered. After a short conversation, the male hung up the phone. The case was assigned to the detective bureau for investigation.

After conducting a traffic stop, an officer suspected one of the occupants had given him a false name. Investigating further, the officer learned the passenger true identity and that she had an outstanding felony warrant from St. Louis County. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, the officer located marijuana in two separate packages. The driver was arrested for the narcotics violation.
